Results of the Second Survey

Results of the Second Survey are in…. with more than half of the neighborhood responding:

ROAD RESURFACING ISSUE:   About as many people said they were satisfied with the job (26%) as those who were ready to petition (30%).  A few more were dissatisfied but not enough to petition (43%).  So, our plan is to communicate the specific concerns expressed on the resurfacing with Mr. Basler, the head of the Highway Department.  Then see what remedies he can provide.  We’ll keep you posted.
HOLIDAY PARTY IDEA:   By a narrow margin more people said they wanted a winter Holiday Party (47%) than voted for our traditional end-of-summer Block Party (42%).  Interestingly, some preferred neither (11%).  So, our plan is to skip supporting a Block Party this year and get up a committee to plan for a Holiday Party (venue, food, entertainment, etc.) most likely in conjunction with the Luminary Display.  But we would encourage you all to get together with some friendly neighbors for a BBQ while the weather is still warm (…several  cul-de-sacs have already done so).
